Dream big - It's your Vacation

There are two ways to go on vacation: plan it or be spontaneous. May people plan their vacation because they have some control what will happen on their vacation. But actually spontaneous vacations can be just as fun if not better.  Every vacation has some planning, like are you going to take the car or fly or  go by train? But once the transportation has been decided, everything else can be simple not complicated. Unless you go somewhere and there are no accommodations because of the festival or conference in town, then you could be in trouble because you were being spontaneous.
So, sometimes, planning ahead for your dream vacation is a good thing. Or why not be a planner to get the vacation details straight then be spontaneous once you arrive to your destination? There are many places to see, just figure out what kind vacation you, want and go for it!

Shopping Spree

Mexico, especially small villages or towns ave the best shopping because you can always haggle the prices. There are usually ma and pa shops, local shops, street fairs and markets. The more commercialized the  shop looks, the less chance of making a deal. Haggling the shop clerk is a delicate process. The shop clerks expect a bit of bargaining, but they will always give you a steep price at the beginning especially if they know you are American. Mexicans have the stereotype that you are rich because you are Americans or white. Who would not believe that, you are vacationing in their little town, right? It's a good assumption.
So, you need to make it an art to start the haggling process. Make sure it's something you really want to buy, then offer a price dramatically low. You will most likely not get it at the price you offered, they will work on getting you to  a higher price but lower then their original offer. Hopefully, after a few back forth bantering, you both will come to a price you agree on. Maybe it will be higher then you wanted to pay but considerably lower then the first price offered by the clerk.

Vacation Rental Agreement

Always very important to read the whole contract or rental agreement. There might be clauses in there you might not want or need to negotiate. Some contracts will not allow negotiations. By reading the compete contract this allows time for discussions. Maybe you would like to add something. There is always room for for negotiations. And if they do not allow negotiating then walk away. The customer should be top priority for any business especially vacation rentals. If they don't work  with you to make your dream vacation, walk away, it's not worth the struggle. If they are not flexible, then most likely they are not worth your time or money. Always get what you want, its your vacation, it should be perfect.
